Hudka comes from Himmaleh Spirits, a family-run craft distillery dedicated to creating terroir-forward, additive-free spirits. Located in the Kumaon foothills, the distillery follows a farm-to-bottle ethos, using traditional copper pot stills and locally sourced ingredients. Himmaleh Spirits has already made its mark with celebrated releases such as Kumaon & I gin, Neoli rum, and Bandarful cold brew coffee liqueur. Each product reflects the distillery’s commitment to authenticity, craftsmanship, and the preservation of Himalayan traditions.

Defining Craft Vodka for India
India’s vodka market was valued at US $1.26 billion in 2024 and is projected to grow at a CAGR of 7.8% through 2030. Despite this growth, truly craft, terroir-driven vodkas remain rare. Hudka aims to change that.

“With Hudka, we’re placing India, and specifically the Himalayas, on the global vodka map. It’s not just about entering the market, but about defining a category shaped by place, purity, and precision,” said Ansh Khanna, Co-Founder, Himmaleh Spirits.

A Design with Cultural Resonance

Hudka’s label is more than visual appeal; it is storytelling in design. The label incorporates the waveform of an actual Hudka drum rhythm, converting oral tradition into visual identity. This reflects not only the pulse of Kumaoni music but also the living heritage of the region. It is a bottle that does not just hold vodka; it holds the sound, soul, and spirit of the mountains.

Purity in Every Drop

Hudka is distilled using local sativa rice and Himalayan spring water, without additives. Each batch is created in copper pot stills, ensuring precision and depth of flavor.

“Our vodka is a conversation between land, culture, and craft. What you taste is pure rhythm — clean, crisp, and alive with heritage. It is not just a drink; it is a distilled expression of the mountains themselves,” said Samarth Prasad, Co-Founder, Himmaleh Spirits.

A New Voice in Indian Spirits

With Hudka, Himmaleh Spirits is not only introducing a new premium product but also contributing to the narrative of Indian craft spirits on the world stage. In a market dominated by mass-produced brands, Hudka stands as a symbol of authenticity, culture, and artisanal quality. As the first vodka to bring Himalayan terroir to the glass, Hudka is poised to redefine how India and the world experience this spirit.
